Privacy Policy

GTA Plumber Match (Newmarket, Ontario, Canada) respects your privacy and handles personal information in line with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).
What we collect
- Your request: name, phone number, optional email, postal code, the plumbing problem, timing, and whether you own the property.
- Messages: texts, call details (and recordings where announced) and chat messages you send us.
- Site usage: pages visited, ad campaign parameters (for example utm and click IDs), device and browser data, collected through cookies and Google Analytics.
- Consent records: the consent wording you agreed to and when.
Why we use it
- To match your request with up to 3 independent Providers who serve your area, and to let them contact you about it.
- To send you updates about your request and check in afterwards about how it went.
- To vet and rate Providers, prevent spam and fraud, and improve the Service and our advertising.
- To send optional seasonal reminders, only if you opted in.
Who we share it with
- Matched Providers. We share your request details with the Provider(s) we match you with. They use it to contact and serve you and handle it under their own privacy practices.
- Service providers who process data for us: hosting and database (Cloudflare, Supabase), texting and calls (Twilio), email (Resend), analytics (Google Analytics). Some may store data outside Canada (for example in the United States), where it may be accessible to authorities under local law.
- When required by law.
We do not sell your personal information.
Consent and your choices
- You can withdraw consent at any time. Reply STOP to any text, or email hello@gtaplumbermatch.com. Withdrawing doesn't undo sharing that already happened for your request, but we'll stop further contact from us and tell Providers you've opted out.
- Every commercial message we send identifies us and includes a way to unsubscribe, as CASL requires.
- You can block or delete cookies in your browser, or use Google's Analytics opt-out add-on.
Retention and security
We keep request records for up to 24 months (to handle follow-ups, disputes and provider billing), then delete or anonymize them, unless the law requires longer. Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and access is limited to people who need it.
Your rights
You may ask to see, correct or delete your personal information. Email hello@gtaplumbermatch.com; we'll reply within 30 days. If you're not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca).
Children
The Service is meant for adults arranging work on a property. We don't knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
We'll post any update here and change the effective date.
