Terms of Use

These terms apply to gtaplumbermatch.com, our phone and text line +1 (365) 825-3895, and our chat (together, the "Service"). The Service is operated by GTA Plumber Match, Newmarket, Ontario, Canada ("we", "us"). By using the Service you agree to these terms.

1. What we are, and what we are not

GTA Plumber Match is a free matching and referral service. We connect homeowners with independent, licensed local plumbing businesses ("Providers"). We do not perform plumbing work, we are not a plumbing contractor, and we do not employ the plumbers we refer.

2. Referral fees

The Service is free for homeowners. Providers may pay us a referral fee, for example a percentage of a completed job. Providers who pay us may be offered requests before other Providers. Paying does not change how we score or vet a Provider (see How we vet providers).

3. Your request

When you submit a request by form, call, text or chat, you agree that we may share the details you give us (such as your name, phone number, postal code, the problem and timing) with up to 3 Providers who serve your area so they can contact you about that request. You must give accurate information and have authority to request work at the property.

4. Your contract is with the Provider

Any quote, booking, work, payment, warranty or dispute is between you and the Provider. Ask for the price before work starts. You are never obliged to hire a Provider we refer.

5. No guarantees

We check Providers against our published criteria, but we do not supervise their work and we do not guarantee their availability, arrival time, price, workmanship, licensing status on any given day, or results. Response times we mention are typical, not promised. The Service is provided "as is".

6. Emergencies and safety

The Service is not an emergency service. If there is a risk to life, fire, or you smell gas, leave the property and call 911 or your gas utility. Safety tips on our site are general information, not professional advice.

7. Text messages (SMS terms)

If you text us or tick the box to receive texts, we and the matched Provider(s) may text you about your request (for example confirmations and status updates). Optional reminders are sent only if you separately opt in.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
Reply STOP to stop texts at any time. Reply HELP for help, or email hello@gtaplumbermatch.com.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

8. Calls and chat

Calls may be recorded for quality and to route your request. Our chat may be answered by an AI assistant that is labelled as one; a person may take over. Don't share payment card details by text or chat.

9. Acceptable use

Don't submit false, spam or automated requests, or requests for someone else without their permission, and don't try to interfere with the Service.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by the laws of Ontario, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from a Provider's work, advice, delay or failure to attend, or from your use of the Service. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Ontario Consumer Protection Act, 2002 that cannot be waived.

11. Providers

Plumbing businesses that join our network agree to separate partner terms, including keeping homeowner details confidential and using them only for the referred request.

12. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; the effective date above will change. These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
